And a good time was had by all at the ho ho holiday Christmas party!

A grand time was had by all at the annual joint LANCR CASLIS Christmas Holiday party on the evening of December 7th at the Nicolas Hoare Bookstore on Sussex Street. Thanks to our LANCR colleagues for organizing a smashing event!

About 50 of our friends and colleagues gathered for holiday cheer and shopping! Our new best friend, Dave at the bookstore, acted as bartender as well as extremely knowledgeable purveyor of information on his stock! What a pleasure to have someone who knows his stuff, and provide a level of service that speaks to a love of what he does!

Aside from making merry, CASLIS Ottawa exec would like to thank all those who contributed to the 50-50 raffle, won by Emmett Will. His share of the charity win is going to the Diabetes Foundation. CFL compatriot, Cathi Corbett was one of the door prize winners and Geralyne Dionne won the second door prize which were $25 gift certificates for the bookstore. Some of our party goers were hoping that the hat holding all the raffle tickets was part of the raffle. But the owner of the lovely bucket blue accessory, LANCR executive member Brandie Adams, wasn't parting with it!

Spotted in the crowd chatting to UWO FLIS and Dalhousie SIM student members were CLA Executive Director, Don Butcher, along with CLA Membership Officer, Sylvie Deliencourt. Both have provided endless amount of support to the Excutive this past fall. We were delighted to have them join us!

LANCR President, Vanessa Hooper and I were sorry that we didn't remember to bring a camera to show off festivities on our respective websites.

Thank you every one for joining us in making merry, for raising some money for charity, and for your flexing your retail skills at the bookstore.

Dave, on behalf of both our associations, thank you for allowing us to have our party in your lovely bookstore. We were delighted with the 10% discount and the gift certificate. Is it too early to book for next year?
