Treasury Board Policy on Information Management

Information professionals working in the federal government may want to read the new Treasury Board Policy on Information Management which replaces the 2003 Policy on the Management of Government Information.

The new policy was written as part of the overall policy suite renewal and is under the Policy Framework for Information and Technology. Still to be published are Directive on Information Management Roles and Responsibilities and the Directive on Recordkeeping. Both are in development.

(Hmmm, since there's a directive on recordkeeping, maybe federal librarians should try for one that focuses on library services.)
