Dr. David Suzuki in Ottawa: Free public forum

Dr. David Suzuki--along with Ambassador of Sweden to Canada, Ingrid Iremark, and noted Canadian environmental health physician, Dr. Lynn Marshall-- will discuss how Canada can develop a national strategy to protect both the health of Canadians and the nation’s extraordinary natural assets.

Canada is one of the only developed countries without an environmental health strategy. Sweden, meanwhile, has some of the strongest laws in place to protect the health of its citizens from environmental contaminants.

The public forum will coincide with the release of a groundbreaking report from the David Suzuki Foundation that outlines how Canada can help protect against the adverse health effects of environmental hazards.
