CDs are dead but is vinyl back?

The Ottawa Sun has an article in today's paper about the return of vinyl records and its impact on independent record stores.

As retail giants like Sam the Record Man and Music World topple in a rapidly changing industry, the allure of a fresh 12" vinyl disc, it's warm, rich sound complete with large format cover art and liner notes, is drawing niche consumers back to independent record stores in droves.

At least 10 independent record stores in Ottawa now specialize in vinyl.
