Canadian Library Support Staff Day

Good library systems employ, build and celebrate the skill of their support staff. Support staff are critical to any library’s success.

October is Canadian Library Month and Friday, October 17, 2008 will be recognized as Canadian Library Support Staff Day. The purpose of the day is to show deep appreciation and recognition for the work of Library Technicians, Library Assistants, Library Clerks and all other support staff members who perform daily miracles in our Canadian public, private, government and institutional libraries.

On behalf of the Canadian Library Association/Association canadienne des bibliothèque I proclaim October 17, 2008 as “Canadian Library Support Staff Day".
