OPL Rideau Branch closes doors for much-needed facelift

The Rideau Branch of the Ottawa Public Library will be closing at the end of the week for a three month, $282K renovation.

The work to be done includes repairing the plaster walls and ceiling, replacing the interior front door stairs, recarpeting and repainting the building. New lighting is to be installed in the main section and the historic woodwork will be restored.

The building will also be fitted with accessible public washrooms.
