“First Do No Harm”: How To Deliver A Professional And Engaging Presentation – Whether It Is Your 1st Or 500th Speech

Whether you’re presenting a proposal to management, providing instruction or training to clients, sharing results of a project with peers, or rallying people around a cause, you want to dazzle your audience members by giving them exactly the information they need while getting your message across effectively.

It’s not as hard as you think. There are core things you can do to deliver an engaging, focused, and successful presentation that meets these goals. And this workshop is designed to teach you the techniques to develop and hone skills that will enable you to make great presentations – every time!

The workshop will use a peer learning approach to teach you how to:

  • know your audience to ensure your presentation is focused and meaningful
  • decide what content to include in your presentation
  • add and use props – such as PowerPoint – effectively
  • use your voice and body to keep your audience engaged
  • deliver technical information to a non-technical audience
In the first part of the workshop, skilled presenters Terry Tomchyshyn and Shelley Gullikson will share tips and techniques of presentation delivery, including how to deliver a technical subject matter to a generalist audience.

Participants will then have the opportunity to apply these techniques to developing a presentation and get feedback from the workshop facilitators and fellow participants.

Everyone is guaranteed to leave the workshop with a renewed sense of enthusiasm and confidence for delivering any presentation, to anyone, anytime.
