CASLIS Ottawa invites all MLIS and LIT students working in the National Capital Region this summer to a mixer. Come out and meet your colleagues from LIS programmes across Canada.

Join Alvin Schrader, Past President of the Canadian Library Association, for an interactive session that looks at the key differences between school and workplace cultures and the transition phase from school to work. Alvin offers a leadership perspective for new grads who want a deeper appreciation of school-work differences and what role you can play in making the successful transition into your first professional position.

Who? All MLIS and LIT students working in Ottawa this summer.
Where? Royal Oak, 221 Echo Dr. on the canal, map, bus route #5.
When? Thursday, May 28, 2009, 6:00pm
Cost? Free! CASLIS will provide some appetizers but students are responsible for their own meals and drinks.
