Sneak Preview of the CASLIS Ottawa Year...
We've been busy planning some spectacular events for this upcoming season.
I've already mentioned the Library of Parliament Tour. Here's what else is in the works for the year. Mark your calendars, the dates are pretty firm.

Amazing Reference Race
Pull together a team of four. Grab the reference questions. You'll have a week, however there will be a prize for the quickest team to answer all the qusetions before deadline. Prizes! Answers to be revealed at a cozy pub WHere else would we want to spend a probably chilly January evening ( hard to imagine in these dog days of August!) Plan to spend the evening and analyze the answers to some challenging questions.
Will it be newbies vs "seasoned?" How about Internet vs old fashioned hard copy sources? Will it take two minutes or two days? The Amazing Reference Race will answer all!
March 7, 2007
Full day workshop TBA
May 9, 2007
Librarian film night and CASLIS AGM
The plan so far is to book a movie theatre, get the business done, then have a double bill featuring librarians. Popcorn optional but available!
We could still use a few extra volunteers to help with planning of these events. If interested contact me directly at territom@rogers.com. The more the merrier!
Have you other ideas? Something we might try and squeeze in? Let us know! A great idea is always welcome!
Looking forward to seeing you all on the 20th.
