CLA Committees: Call for Volunteers
The important work of the Canadian Library Association would not be possible without the work of our many dedicated volunteers. Much of this interesting and challenging work is undertaken at the committee or task force level.
CLA needs volunteers to serve on the following committees:
Members (two), CLA/Ken Haycock Award for Promoting Librarianship Award Committee
The CLA/Ken Haycock Award committee has two vacancies. The committee selects the recipient of this award, which is presented to honour an individual for contributing significantly to the public recognition and appreciation of librarianship. More details on the Award are available at: http://www.cla.ca/awards/haycock.htm
Committee members should have some knowledge of or experience in library promotion or advocacy.
Member, Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Award Committee
The Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Award Committee has an immediate opening for a children’s librarian. This committee reviews the submissions for and chooses the recipient of the Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Illustrator’s Award.
For details of the committee’s work, please see the Award’s webpage.
