New Executive Planning Events for 2006-07

A new executive has taken over the reins with the Ottawa CASLIS Chapter, and has already held a planning meeting to develop programmes, workshops and social events for the IM/librarians community in the NCR.
Chapter President Jennifer Gavin has noted that the following members will be acclaimed in their positions and will be asking for members to accept the slate at the first meeting in the fall:

1st Vice/President-elect - Cabot Yu
Treasurer - Magali Nayet
Members at Large: Emmett Will, Claire Banton
I, Terri Tomchyshyn, will be returning in the past president's chair.

Our first event of the year is the traditional tour for September along with the drinks and munchies. This year's tour will be at the newly renovated Library of Parliament. Mark your calendars - September 20th, 2006 4 PM. Please be prepared to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the tour to allow for security.

Also keep in mind- September 15th - 4:30- 7:00 PM the CLA Open House at the office - 328 Frank Street. CLA Executive Council will be there to meet and chat with local area members. It is usually a good way to start the season of meetings, events and activities for the year. Look forward to seeing you all there!
